In qualifying, Jacob Staten laid down an impressive lap of 13.609 seconds, securing the 4th starting position for the feature. Starting on the outside row, the opening lap didn’t go our way, as Jacob was shuffled back to 6th before a caution slowed the field on lap 2.

On the restart, Jacob chose the outside line in 4th, but once again got caught in the shuffle, dropping to 5th. Another quick caution on lap 3 reset the field, and this time he lined up 7th on the inside. The race quickly turned into a battle of survival, with yet another caution on lap 4 while Jacob was working his way back up to 5th.

When the race finally settled into a rhythm under a single-file restart, Jacob began to show what the car was capable of. By lap 7, he moved into 4th, and just a few laps later, he was battling hard for position. On lap 11, he completed the pass for 3rd, and his momentum continued to build.

By lap 15, Jacob made a strong move into 2nd place, putting himself in prime position to challenge for the win. However, a caution came out, and scoring placed him back in 3rd for the restart.

Undeterred, Jacob attacked again on the restart. As the green flag flew, he made an aggressive move for 2nd, and just as he was gaining ground, another incident behind him brought out yet another caution.

Lining up 3rd once again, Jacob wasted no time when racing resumed. Coming out of turn 2, he made a decisive move and appeared to take the lead—an incredible charge through a caution-filled race.

Unfortunately, another caution quickly turned into a red flag situation. After cleanup, despite appearing to be the leader at the time of the stoppage, officials made the call to send Jacob to the rear, citing involvement in the incident.

With time constraints forcing an early end to the race, that call ultimately ended our shot at a win.

While the result doesn’t reflect the performance, this race proved one thing, this team has the speed, determination, and drive to compete at the front. We’ll take the positives, regroup, and come back stronger for the next one.
